(Brownsville, TX) — President Biden is inviting former President Trump to join him in telling Congress to pass the border bill that Trump rallied his allies against earlier in February. The two made visits to the southern border on Thursday as the issue of immigration heats up across both parties. During a briefing in Brownsville, Texas, Biden said that the bipartisan bill is the “toughest, most efficient, most effective border security bill” ever seen, saying the time to “play politics” with the issue is done. Biden went on to call for senators to “set politics aside,” urging House Speaker Mike Johnson to send the bill to the floor.
