(Eagle, Pass, Texas) — President Biden and former President Trump will both visit the U.S.-Mexico border today to address the surge of migrants flowing into the country. Biden will meet with border patrol agents and local leaders in Brownsville. He will use his visit to push Republicans to pass a bipartisan border security deal that made it through the Senate. It’s only the second time Biden has been to the border since he won the White House. Donald Trump will be 300 miles away in Eagle Pass. He has told supporters that he will start mass deportations if he makes it back to the White House.

Americans say immigration is their top concern. That’s according to a new Gallup poll where 28-percent of Americans named immigration as the country’s top issue. That’s an eight-percent increase from last month. It’s the first time since 2019 that immigration has been named by Americans as the nation’s biggest concern. Immigration was followed by government and the “economy in general”.
