(New York, NY) — NYPD cops have arrested three suspects in the deadly shooting of a passenger during a fight on a Bronx subway early Friday morning. They are identified as 24-year-old Justin Herde, 38-year-old Betty Cotto, and 42-year-old Alfredo Trinidad. The suspects were taken into custody Monday afternoon. Police describe the three as transients. Investigators say there was a fight over a gun on the southbound subway train last Friday, when suddenly the weapon fired, striking and killing 45-year-old William Alvarez. He was an innocent bystander. NYPD officials say Alvarez was sitting on the train when two men and a woman boarded at the Fordham Road station and a fight broke out. The suspects were tracked down at an apartment at Villa avenue and 205th street.
