(Tel Aviv, Israel)  —  Negotiations in Paris between Israel and Hamas are beginning to pick up steam after the Israeli War Cabinet agreed to send a delegation this weekend. An anonymous Western diplomat says it appears both sides want a ceasefire and are willing to make concessions. Israel has said it will not agree to any pause in fighting without a hostage deal first.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has started to talk about what will happen after the war with Hamas ends. He told Israelis on Thursday that the Jewish nation will control all security operations in the Gaza Strip. The Prime Minister says Israel still has a way to go to get to it’s goal of eliminating all member of Hamas. Netanyahu says Israeli Defense Forces will be in Gaza for a while longer.
