(New York, NY) – As the seconds tick down and we approach midnight on December 31, the calendar will carry us into 2024 — but it’s not magic, it’s just New Years. That said, on Thursday, December 28, New Yorkers got a chance to say good bye to the outgoing year — with the help of a magician.
They held the annual Good Riddance Day at Times Square, featuring a magician — so as to help make bad memories vanish into thin air. Past events featured an obstacle course, and for years people have been able to write bad memories on little pieces of paper, which are then shredded and added to the confetti for the ball drop. Some also won gift cards at the event.
