Nassau County GOP Picks Former Israeli Military Vet in Special Election

LAKE SUCCESS,  NY  — Nassau County Republicans leaders are endorsing a county legislator as their candidate in an upcoming  special election.

44 year old Mazi Pilip, an Ethiopian born Jew, who lived in Israel and was a former Israeli paratrooper, will run against democrat Tom Suozzi,in the 3rd district congressional seat.  She will face off against Suozzi in a special election on February 13th. 

The seat was left vacant after George Santos was expelled from congress.  The 3rd district seat covers Long Island and parts of Queens.
