(Central Islip, NY) — New York Congressman George Santos plead not guilty to the latest round of federal fraud charges against him. Santos was arraigned Friday in Central Islip on 23 charges including identity theft, credit card fraud and conspiracy. The Republican is accused of stealing his campaign donors’ identities and putting unauthorized charges on their credit cards. Santos says he has no plans to resign and he’s entitled to due process. His court appearance comes a day after fellow Long Island Republican Congressman Anthony D’Esposito introduced a resolution to expel Santos.
