(New York, NY) — The NYPD is reportedly ordering all cops to report in uniform starting tomorrow, ahead of possible global demonstrations that were called for by a former leader of Hamas. The New York Post reports the NYPD is making the move due to potential unrest, after the former leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, called for protests Friday in support of Palestinians. A memo was sent to officers saying all uniformed members must be prepared for deployment. The NYPD is also stepping up security at all of its precincts and assigning additional cops to monitor entryways and parking areas at the station houses.
