(New York, NY) — It likely will be very quiet in the city today. Lots of employers have told workers to stay home , after a former Hamas leader called for protests around the world today in support of Palestinians. The NYPD says it is out in force. Mayor Adams says State Police are working with the NYPD to beef up local patrols at Yeshivas, synagogues, museums and cultural institutions. The NYPD says there are no credible threats against the city.
