columbus-parade-143

(New York, NY) — The annual Columbus Day Parade steps off along Fifth Avenue today. Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams will be on hand for the 79th edition of the event. It’s organized by The Columbus Citizens Foundation, a non-profit that aims to foster an appreciation of Italian-American heritage and achievement in the city. The Columbus Day Parade begins at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral following a mass. More than 30-thousand people are expected to march up Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 72nd Street, with hundreds of thousands lining the streets. WABC will be live on the parade route at 59th and 5th Avenue.
