dog, adoption
(New York, NY) – It’s getting ruff out here for a pooch. According to Animal Care Centers of New York City, their shelters have reached critical capacity. That means they’re unable to accept any new donations of dogs. People looking to rehome Fido will have to look elsewhere.
So while dog surrenders are on hold, adoptions are still in full swing. Also, if a dog needs emergency care or poses a risk to the public, ACC will still work with you — by roping in government agencies. And if you’re in the market for adoption, it’s a great time for it — October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month — and adoption fees are being waived through the end of the month.
