Adams in Mexico
(New York, NY) – New York City Mayor Eric Adams is heading out of town this week. City Hall says Adams is taking a four-day trip aimed at learning more about the migrant situation, and the fact that thousands of people continue to illegally enter the southern border. Adams will hold meetings with local leaders and migrants themselves, in a bid to learn more about the so-called “misinformation pipeline.” Apparently, migrants are being told there’s plenty of legal work and housing in the US.
Meanwhile, New York City and other large urban centers are struggling to come up with shelter space — all while the cooler winter months loom. Adams will travel to Mexico on Wednesday, with stops planned in Ecuador and Columbia. He plans to return to New York City on Sunday.
