(New York, NY) — Port Authority workers say they shouldn’t have to pay the MTA’s congestion pricing tolls when they are put in place next Spring. The President of the Port Authority’s Sergeant Benevolent Association says many Port Authority employees don’t have a mass transit option to get to work, and so should not be charged a toll to go below 60th Street in Manhattan. The MTA has not made any decisions on who will be exempt from the tolls that could be as high as $23 a day.
