(New York, NY) — An off-duty NYPD officer and his father are dead in what police are calling a murder suicide in the Bronx Wednesday. Sources say the off duty narcotics detective was supposed to play in a softball game, when he didn’t show members of the team went to his apartment, where they found both him and his father dead. Neighbors say the father had a history of mental health issues.
