INVASION: Sex Workers Take Over a Queens Street

(New York, NY) – An invasion is happening in Queens, and no, it’s not aliens.

Residents and business owners located along Roosevelt Avenue are enraged with the mob of prostitutes flaunting themselves along the Queens road. Residents have told reporters their children are not safe— sex workers have gone as far as provoking children.

Locals want answers from the police.

The NYPD told The Post they have “proactively shifted the work of vice enforcement in recent years, reflecting our ongoing efforts to focus with precision on those who would purchase sex or promote its sale.”

Part of the shift in enforcement is reflected in the lower numbers of arrests connected to prostitution. “We have significantly reduced the number of arrests for prostitution itself as we work in every case to connect the victims of human trafficking with the services they need,” the Police Department said.

The mission has shifted focus onto the purchaser. According to the department, police are working to “Proactively deter individual buyers of sex. Yet prostitution in all forms remains prohibited by law,” concluded the authorities.
