(New York, NY) — The Rent Guidelines Board is set to vote tonight on rent hikes for the million plus New Yorkers who live in rent stabilized apartments. The board could raise the rent anywhere from 2% to 7%. Landlords say the need rent hikes just to make ends meet. Tenants say they cant afford any rent hike, because salaries are not keeping pace with the cost of living in the city .
