(New York, NY) — Mayor Eric Adams says he is not to blame for Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell’s resignation. He did battle with reporters who asked him Tuesday if he drove the Police Commissioner away. There are unconfirmed reports that Sewell was tired of being micromanaged by City Hall. Mayor Adams was reportedly surprised by her abrupt resignation. Sewell has not said why she is leaving, or where she may be going next.
