(New York, NY) – Continuing their mission to “do good,” the Tunnel to Towers Foundation recently donated a smart home to US Army Sergeant First Class Sualauvi Tuimaleali’ifano and his family.
SFC Tuimaleali’ifano was injured in 2007 while serving in Afghanistan. He explains the smart home will be a major benefit to his quality of life, considering his use of a wheelchair. The home’s kitchen, heating and cooling, and other features are designed to specifically cater to people with mobility issues.
In addition to the home’s built-in features, LifeVac donated a unit to SFC Tuimaleali’ifano and his family, so they’re protected ahead of any potential choking emergencies. The LifeVac is a patented, non-invasive rescue suction device that can save a life in an airway obstruction emergency. As SFC Tuimaleali’ifano explored the home alongside his family, the company presented him with a LifeVac, which will be ready should anything arise. Learn more about the product and how it works here.
