(New York, NY) – A familiar face is joining an exclusive sports fraternity – as New Jersey Devils co-owner Josh Harris has a deal in place to purchase the Washington Commanders for a record $6 billion. Harris also co-owns the Philadelphia 76ers with David Blitzer. An investment group headed by Harris, as well as NBA legend Magic Johnson, is reportedly close to finalizing the purchase of Washington, DC’s NFL team – formerly known as the Redskins.
Meanwhile, Harris’ Devils are getting ready for a first round playoff series with the rival New York Rangers. That series will get underway this coming Tuesday at the Prudential Center in Downtown Newark.
