(New York, NY) – Following this past weekend’s horrific crash in Westchester County, low-life scammers are looking to capitalize. Authorities are warning that a fake GoFundMe page has been set up after five children were killed in the fiery wreck. There is a legitimate fundraising page that’s been set up as well, but this fake one is at gofundme-dot-agency, as opposed to gofundme-dot-com.

The family lives in Derby, Connecticut. State Representative Mary Welander says she’s reported the site while urging people who want to donate they should be careful. It was on Sunday when a rented Nissan Rogue driven by 16-year-old Malik Smith went off road and crashed. He didn’t have a license. All the victims range in age from eight to 17 – they’re siblings and cousins. The only survivor is a nine-year-old boy who crawled out the car’s trunk.
