(New York, NY) – According to a study out of Moscow, humans look at themselves in the mirror a whole lot. In fact, the international team of researchers found the average person spends four hours daily glancing in the looking glass. For the typical lifetime, that means one-sixth of our waking moments are spent focused on our personal appearance. WABC’s Bob Brown hit the streets and asked our listeners for their reaction.
The study looked at more than 93,000 people in 93 countries. Apparently, attracting a lover is the chief reason people spend so much time focusing on their looks. The researchers found that’s especially true in the digital age, with social media and dating apps so prominent.
