NEW YORK (77WABC) — A 42-year old resident of the Project Renewal Shelter at 225 East 45th Street in Manhattan is charged with murder in the stabbing death of of a 27-year-old shelter resident.
The NYPD says Charmaine Crossman faces one count of murder in connection with the fatal stabbing on Friday, December 16th of 27-year-old Victoria Goode.
Police responded to a 911 call shortly before 10 pm that night of a female stabbed inside the shelter’s 6th floor. The woman had multiple stab wounds and was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where she was pronounced dead.

The NYPD lists the addresses of both the defendant and the victim as the shelter on East 45th St.
A motive for the fatal stabbing has not been made public.
