BRONX, N.Y. (77WABC) — Police say a 19 year old Bronx resident allegedly shot and killed a 33-year-old Bronx man and struck him with his vehicle as he fled the scene.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, November 8th 2022 police arrested and charged Jovan Erazo of 705 Crotona Park North at the 41st Precinct. Police say he is charged with murder, vehicular manslaughter and 3 counts of assault in the death of 33 year old Cortex Hinton.
Police were called on Saturday, October 15th to 970 Kelly St. where they found Hinton unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his torso and groin. The victim also had trauma to his head and body after being struck by the fleeing vehicle.
EMS responded and transported Hinton to Lincoln Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
