Hay un nuevo ultra millonario en Florida. Fue a un 7-Eleven y ganó $394 millones del Powerball
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The bad news is that no one won Wednesday night’s huge $1.2 billion Powerball jackpot. The good news is that means the prize has grown even larger to $1.5 billion ahead of the next drawing Saturday night. That is the third-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
The numbers drawn Wednesday night were: 2, 11, 22, 35, 60 and the red Powerball 23. No one has won the top Powerball prize since Aug. 3, making for 39 consecutive drawings without anyone matching all six numbers.
The Powerball website says tickets sold in 14 states matched the five numbers from last night’s drawing but not the Powerball. Three of the ticket holders opted to spend an additional $1 per row adding the Powerball option so those tickets are worth $2 million dollars each. The other 11 tickets are worth $1 million dollars each for matching five numbers but not the Powerball.
The largest ever Powerball jackpot was $1.586 billion on Jan. 13, 2016 with winning tickets sold in California, Florida and Tennessee.
A Mega Millions jackpot of $1.537 billion dollars drawn on Oct. 23, 2018 and is the largest ever top tier jackpot in lottery history. The winning top tier ticket was won in South Carolina.
What’s behind three months of lottery futility? It’s simple math. The odds of winning the jackpot are an abysmal 1 in 292.2 million.
