  19. On the old Imus show Bernie was, by far, the funniest cast member. I remember many mornings driving down the West Side Highway with tears in my eyes, laughing so hard at "The Cardinal" with the "lott-tree noom-burrs, by Jay-sh, Imus in the morn’"
It was the best part of driving to work.

  20. You don’t listen to someone for 20+ years and not know their heart. Above all he was a humble decent man who so loved his family. The best.

  29. Irreplaceable. More so than Imus or Rush. Unique and genuine talent that combined personality, intelligence, humor and common sense. His humanity was evident and came across naturally and unforced. I feel that I’ve lost an intimate friend. A light for so many – and on numerous levels – has gone out.

  30. My sincere condolences to Bernies family and the ABC family such a devastating loss .
I followed Bernie since the Imus days he was a class act I called to win yankee tickets and he asked me can you be funny if he put me on the radio with imus , he put me on and won 3 different prizes .
When Imus had remotes from the intrepid and the U.S. open I would call Bernie and ask if he could leave me tickets and he did every time .
Bernie☘ you will be missed 😥🙏
love you bro , Glen, New Rochelle

  31. I’m so saddened at the loss of Bernie. He was the heart of the Bernie and Sid show. I feel I know these guys going back to Imus in the morning. No one will ever fill his shoes. 32. Our eyes and hearts are full of tears
Because Bernie you are no longer here.
Although your voice may be gone
Your legacy and brightness will carry on
Though your wit and wisdom have left this good old earth
Your goodness, integrity & honesty will always be here
Your bro Sid will pick up the baton and raise it high.

  35. Bernie will be so missed. I have watched him from Imus, to O’Reilly to listening to Bernie and Sid. I would listen live, from California, starting at 5 pacific time. Loved playing beat Bernie, but never called in to play! I was so excited if I beat Bernie—probably twice. If he recommended a book, I would check it out and often bought it. My condolence to his family and to his WABC radio family.

  36. I have been listening to Bernie for years on my drive to work. I was devastated when I heard the terrible news of his passing. 40. Thank you for this opportunity to say and send my condolences to Bernard’s wife and children and the WABC family. I am honored and sadden to hear of his passing. I am an Arizona Republican and conservative who have listened to the show for many years. He has always reminded me of my husband, Charles who was also very intelligent, honest, loving and God fearing man. My husband too has passed and is gone home to be with Jesus. So, I pray that they meet in heaven. Please let his family know that they are in my prayers. God’s blessings to you all.
