  1. Real straight shooter, always made sense, I enjoyed listening to him throughout the years from Imus to O’Reilly to Bernie and Sid. I will miss him as much as Rush. WE need more like Bernie. RIP Bernie!!!

  2. Bernie was my political brother and made me laugh so many times. Condolences to Carol and kids. Rejoice in Dads life and remember he is free from pain and with God. Love ya Bernie.

The Lord has a special seat for you – may your family find comfort in the knowledge that you touched so many lives – Rest in Peace – and may the Lord bless your family and friends as you have blessed all of us with your words and wisdom.

  4. Each day began with Bernie’s voice. I live in Hayden Lake, ID so I would listen on the podcast. He made me laugh, informed me and kept me going. In 2021, after 27 years in remission, metastatic breast cancer surfaced for me. At the same time my husband faced prostate cancer. In between the cancers we both came down with Covid. So I related to his struggle. My 4 grandparents were from Ireland so we had our heritage in common too. I have prayed everyday for months for Bernie and today I am broken hearted. Tears just flow and flow. His journey on this earth is a profile in courage and redemption. God love you Bernie and may our dear Lord welcome you into your eternal reward . . . RIP

  5. I was praying that our friend Bernie would conquer his illness and return to the 770WABC airwaves with his partner Sid Rosenberg. Bernie’s wit and sense of humor will be forever missed, for the talk radio world has lost a giant talent. My prayers to his family and his WABC family as well.

  17. Such a tremendous loss to be had much too early. I wish Bernie’s family, friends, and colleagues nothing but the best during this very difficult time. Listening to Bernie and Sid has actually made my two-hour commute in the morning something pleasant that I look forward to. Thank you for the amazing radio, Bernie. You will be missed.

  18. I am so saddened to hear about Bernie. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I have been listening to Bernie for years and truly enjoyed his commentary, great wit and honesty. He was one of a kind, always true to himself and others. Farewell Bernie… thanks for years of radio friendship.

  19. Being a long time Imus fan, I met Bernie twice, at the last Remote on board the Intrepid, and when Imus hit Rhode Island. My Auto Body Express denim shirt has the signature of all who were there that day including "Bernard McJerk" as he liked to sign his name for the fan. Talked to him on the phone, was trying to get on with my then stellar Hillary Clinton "PeepO rama" bit. I managed to make him laugh, which got me on air, where I promptly got "blown up" by Imus. Glory days and great times. Bernie was a nice fellow in person, shy like his boss. He’s earned his place in Heaven, where Imus will ask him for the "Cardinal" one more time.

  20. Bernie the mornings just won’t be the same without you. You will truly be missed. God Bless you and your family. May you rest in peace in God’s care.

  27. As an avid listener to Bernie and Sid my heart sank when I read that Bernie had passed away. Knowing that he had been in the fight of his life with his battle with prostate cancer I never thought this day would come. Bernie was a Tuff son of a gun. He was a true patriot and loved America. My best to his family and may his rest in peace. God bless him.

  28. I have been listening to Bernie since the Imus days. He and Sid made a terrific team in the morning, and I never missed a show. One morning he spoke of BOSCO Syrup and the crew along with Sid were like BOSCO what the heck is BOSCO. I went online ordered him several bottles and had it shipped to the station with a note wishing him well and how we are all praying for him. He was a man who always stood by his convictions, never wavered always spoke up for the little guy. I’m going to miss you Bernie I really am – you made my mornings so enjoyable. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

As you walk thru heavens gates, I can hear you as you enter – Hey St. Peter – Good Morning and God Bless!! God Speed Our Friend!! Rest in Peace

  29. I am so dismayed by this news. Bernie was the lifeblood of the Imus program and I am so glad he got the opportunity to star in his own show. Where to start? His knowledge of history, politics and culture was impressive and Beat Bernie was an amazing few minutes of the day. Beyond that, his sense of humor was spot on. I will miss him immensely as morning radio will never be the same again without this patriot, NYer and gentleman. My deepest condolences to the McGuirk and WABC families.

  30. Heartfelt condolences from Upstate NY. Bernie will be missed so much. I am a longtime listener and will miss waking up to Bernie and Syd in the morning. I will miss Bernie more than words can say. God loves you and your family.

  41. I have listened to Sid and Bernie for 2 years now. After the death of my son who was poisoned with fentanyl I enjoyed only talk radio. The humor between both of them put a smile on my face.

    They both became my friends.

Bernie was a smart humorous man with compassion.

    He willed be missed…

He’s in Heaven and will watch over all of us….

He was a sincere truth teller… and more importantly a class act, always!

    Rest in Peace, Bernie.
