A Serial Sex Attacker Targeting Female Joggers in NYC

NEW YORK (77WABC) — In three separate incidents, the NYPD says the same man has preyed upon female joggers.

In the latest attack on Saturday September 24th,  the man allegedly physically assaulted a 28- year-old female jogger at knifepoint dragging the woman behind a tree inside of Fort Tyron Park near the  Henry Hudson Parkway and Tryon Place. Police say the man punched the victim in the face and displayed a knife before sexually assaulted her.  After the attack he took off  on a dark colored moped with the victims watch and cell phone southbound on Riverside Drive.

Police say the victim sustained injuries to her left eye, left arm and right leg as a result of the attack. EMS responded and transported the woman to an area hospital for a medical evaluation.

On Sunday, September 18th, around 12:30 in the afternoon, police say a 22-year-old female was jogging on the Hudson River Greenway Trail in the vicinity of West 163 Street and Henry Hudson Parkway when  a man, believed to be the same suspect, approached her and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing southbound.

Authorities say the first reported attack happened on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at approximately 12:30 pm as a  woman was jogging inside of Fort Washington Park  near West 163 Street and Riverside Drive. Police believe the same man approached the woman telling her he had a gun forcing the woman to lay on the ground and grabbed her buttocks.  The individual fled the location on a dark colored motorized scooter southbound. There was no property taken during that assault.

The man is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 6’1″ in height, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the back that reads ‘Honor Thy Gift’, black jeans and black and white sneakers.
