(Kingston, NY) — Republicans are feeling pretty good about their chances of taking back a Hudson Valley congressional seat that the Democrats own now. A new poll done by a pro-Republican group, Freedom Council USA gives GOP Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro a ten point lead over his Democratic challenger Josh Riley in the 19th District. The seat opened up this Spring after Governor Hochul picked district Congressman Antonio Delgado to be her lieutenant Governor. Hochul’s first choice, Brian Benjamin found himself involved in a pay to play scandal and resigned.
