SINGAPORE (77WABC) — A restaurant that has a $10 “screaming children surcharge” in place said it has been able noise complaints by customers to a minimum.
According to Yahoo News, Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill said the penalty per child was implemented over a month ago after complaints of rowdy children running around unattended or disturbing other tables were significantly increasing since May and June. After the penalty was put in place, the restaurant says it noticed an improvement and less complaints.
They say customers who are parents are being more mindful and making a greater effort to ensure their children are not disturbing others while dining.
