Nassau County, NY (77WABC)- Police say a 19-year-old male, hanging out with friends in the parking lot of a McDonald’s in Hempstead, was approached from behind and shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon .
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene which is near an elementary and a high school.
Police received multiple 911 calls around 3:50 in the afternoon finding the teenage in the parking lot .
Investigators say they think the victim may have been targeted. His name has not yet been released.
An investigation continues.
