Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)- A Brooklyn man is charged in the killing of a man inside 4805 5th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
34-year-old Jean Melendez of 447 54th Street in Brooklyn, NY is charged with murder according to the NYPD.
Around 5:28 am on Wednesday August 31st, 2022 police from the 72nd Precinct were called to a report of an assault inside 4805 5th Avenue.
Police found 32-year-old Jonathan Galan Quiroz of 948 49th Street in Brooklyn unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma.
EMS responded and transported Quiroz to NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released a motive in the killing.
