(AP)-A 25-year-old woman was fatally shot at the corner of East 14th Street and Irving Place Thursday morning. Officers from the 13th Precinct were called to the scene at 5:01 am.
EMS responded , and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Police say a heavyset black man, wearing all black clothing and a mask fled the scene of the shooting.
An investigation is ongoing.
The identity of the woman killed is pending family notification.
