NY: New York during the COVID-19 pandemic
East Harlem, NY (77WABC) — An early morning fire inside of an apartment at NYCHA’s Jackie Robinson Houses has killed a 5 year old girl, a 36 year old woman and left a 46-year-old man in critical condition according to the NYPD.
The fire was reported at 2:37 this morning inside of Apt. #6M at 110 East 129th Street. Police say when officers arrived, three people inside of the apartment were being assisted.
A 5-year-old girl and a 46-year-old man where taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem, where the child was pronounced dead and the man remains in critical condition.
EMS also transported a 36-year-old woman to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced deceased.
The relationship between the three individuals has not yet been released. Identities of the fire victims is pending notification of the next of kin.

The FDNY Fire Marshal will determine the cause of the fire, which was contained to the apartment. The investigation remains ongoing.
