NEW YORK (77WABC) — Police are searching for a man who was seen on video fleeing arrest after a scuffle near a Bronx subway station over the weekend.
According to police, the incident occurred on July 23 around 1:45 a.m. near the Burke Avenue 2/5 train station in the Allerton section of the Bronx. Police say they observed the man committing an offense and attempted to take him into custody.
The man fled the scene and police say they are currently seeking his whereabouts. You can see the video here.
The incident is another scuffle caught on video where police and a suspect have gotten dangerously physical. On the same weekend, police arrested a teenaged turnstile jumper in the 125th Street-Lexington Avenue subway station after a bloody fight between the cops and the teen.
Police say the teen was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. He was released the next day on his own recognizance.
