New York, NY (77WABC)-The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man seen in the attached video and photo who is wanted in connection to a sexual assault on the UES of Manhattan.
At 12:15 in the morning on Saturday, June 11 th, a 30-year-old woman was walking near the corner of East 81 Street and 1 Avenue when she was approached from behind and tackled her to the ground.
Police say a man unknown to the woman began to grope her breasts while kissing her face. After a brief struggle, the man got off the woman and ran southbound on 1 Avenue.
The man was last seen running west bound on east 82 street towards 2nd Avenue.
Despite sustaining minor injuries to her back, the woman refused medical attention.
The man on the loose has a light complexion, is short in height and has a medium build and black hair. He was last seen carrying a dark backpack, wearing a white long sleeve T-shirt with designs on the front, light colored blue jeans and sneakers.
