NEW YORK, NEW YORK -( 77 WABC) – Stocks getting off to a rough start for the week, Wall Street losing 876 points Monday. Stocks losing nearly 900 points on Friday on fears of skyrocketing costs for food and gas as inflation hits a 40 year high.
Meantime, the Federal Reserve announced they’re meeting this week because of soaring inflation. Inflation is up 8.6% percent costing families roughly an extra $400 dollars a month in everyday items. The average price of gas has topped $5 dollars a gallon nationally.
