NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- A New York City public school teacher is in trouble after allegedly choking a 12 year old boy at a Bronx school.
Police say it happened inside the cafeteria of I.S. 217 in Longwood Thursday afternoon.
The boy was not hurt. Police say 45-year-old Chester Hingle was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.
Hingle is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
