WASHINGTON (77WABC) — Title 42 will remain in place for now. A federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order keeping the CDC’s police of not considering asylum for migrants due to COVID-19.
Missouri Louisiana and Arizona sued to keep it in place. Since the suit, 19 other states have joined the lawsuit.

“This is a huge victory for border security, but the fight continues on,” Missouri attorney general Eric Schmitt wrote on Twitter announcing the news.
The Biden administration earlier this month said Title 42 would be lifted on May 23.
