WASHINGTON ( 77WABC) — President Biden is standing by his controversial comment about Russia’s President. In Poland Saturday, Biden said “for god’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”

Biden insists he does not regret and won’t  retract his spontaneous comment that Putin be removed from power in response to his war on Ukraine. The White House and Secretary of  State Antony Blinken went into spin mode.

The White House responded by clarifying the President statement and the Secretary Of State Sunday issued remarks from Israel. Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavros denounced the EU and the US for trying to dictate a world order according to their whims and for trying to force Russia and China to bend to the west’s will.
