NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the vehicle and driver in a hit-and-run that left a bystander with serious head injuries.
It was reported to police that on Saturday March 19 around midnight near Vandam Street and Greenwich Street in Manhattan, a 23-year-old man fell into the street while a driver was doing donuts in his car, running the man over. The man suffered a fractured skull, brain injury and severe trauma to the body.
EMS transported him to NYC Health and Hospital/Bellevue where he is listed as being in critical condition. The driver fled the scene eastbound on Vandam Street.
The driver of the vehicle is described as a dark-skinned male, and his car is described as a red two-door Infiniti sedan with a yellow decal on the driver’s side of the words “Tyler Spec”.
