(NEW YORK, NEW YORK)- (77 WABC)- A 9-year-old girl visiting NYC with her mother was punched in the head by a man who was screaming while walking near Central Park.
Police say the suspect 27 year old Raheem Ramsarran , allegedly punched the girl in the left side of her head in an unprovoked attack on the corner of Central Park South and Grand Army Plaza. Police say it happened around 11:30 Monday morning. The girl who was visiting from Miami, was treated at the scene by first responders.
The Post reporting that the door man at The Plaza Hotel heard the suspect yelling and ran to the scene to make sure the guy couldn’t get near the girl and her mother as they ran away from him.
Cops said the suspect was caught nearby a short time later.
