NEW HYDE PARK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- A woman arrested for allegedly injecting a 17 year old boy with the COVID 19 vaccine without the consent of his parents has resigned from her job as a school teacher.
Laura Russo, a biology teacher from Herricks High School, in New Hyde Park, resigned after being arrested f0r the alleged incident.
She reportedly administered a J&J vaccine to the teen on New Years Eve, while he was visiting her son at her home. A video of Russo giving the injection has gone viral.
The teen went home and told his mother about it.
Russo who has no medical authority or license to dispense vaccines, is to appear in court on January 21st.
