NEW YORK, NEW YORK (AP) — Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorneys are vowing to overturn her conviction.
A jury found the British socialite guilty of helping her lover–pedophile Jefferey Epstein of sexually abusing under age girls.
The 60-year-old Maxwell was convicted of all but one count on Wednesday, and faces decades behind bars.
Maxwell’s defense contended she was victimized by a need to make someone pay for the alleged crimes of Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein killed himself while awaiting trial on his own sex-abuse charges.
Maxwell’s family supports an appeal.
