ALBANY, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- AP New York Gov. Kathy Hochul says the state is cutting the amount of time essential workers must stay home after testing positive.
Fully vaccinated people in health care and other frontline fields can return to work after five days instead of 10, if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms have been resolving, and they have had no fever for the last 72 hours, and don’t need to be taking any medication.
They must also wear masks when they return to work. Some Republicans call the mask mandate an overreach.
Hochul say’s the state has been closely monitoring CDC guidance.
