NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- Two men suspected of being members of an Iranian hacking group have been indicted by a Grand Jury in Manhattan Federal Court.
They’re accused of downloading confidential voter data from 100 thousand voters in an unnamed state last year.
Prosecutors say they accessed U.S. voting information and infiltrated a media outlets computer network.
They used the data in an attempt to intimidate voters, by sending out threatening emails while posing as members of the far right group the Proud Boys.
