NEW YORK, (77WABC)- Now that the pandemic is easing up, you’re likely to see more cars on the road and more travelers at the airports for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Triple AAA expects more than 53 million people traveling for the holiday, which is nearly six and a half million more than last year.

If you’re flying out for the holiday, air travel will be 80 percent higher than last year, especially since the U.S. is once again allowing fully vaccinated international travelers into the country.

But it may be later than you think. Triple AAA says to book your holiday flight as soon as possible. If you can get an early flight the better, because there are more likely delays in the afternoon and evening.

And be prepared to reach into your wallet in paying more at car rentals and hotels.
