NEW YORK, NEW YORK  (77WABC)-America is in midst of an energy crunch, as the Biden Administration puts pressure on OPEC and Russia to produce more oil.

Oil production in the United States was at its highest level during the Trump administration, but evidently that is no longer the case.

President Biden is looking to possibly shut down the Keystone XL pipeline in the midwest, also known as line number 5.

Speaking on Tuesday’s CAT’S AT NIGHT SHOW on 77 WABC,  Alaska Republican Senator Dan Sullivan say’s with gas prices up over 60 percent at the pump

most of his constituents have “no choice” but to fill the gas tank and get to work.

Sullivan say’s the Federal government needs to free up restrictions on American oil producers.

Alaska currently produces 300 thousand barrels of oil a day.
