Three Women Attacked in Central Park One Knocked Unconscious and Possibly Sexually Assaulted

Inwood , Manhattan (77WABC)-In just over an hour Wednesday, three women were either approached or attacked by the same Hispanic suspect in the Inwood Hill Park secton of Central Park.

Police say the three separate incidents happened between 10:50 am and 11:57 am.

Police say in the last incident a woman walking her dog was hit over her head with a branch. She was knocked unconscious. The attacker attempted to remove the woman’s pants. A person walking in the park spotted the woman’s dog and then saw the injured woman come out of a wooded area, according to police.

The woman was taken to Harlem Hospital

It’s believed the same suspect approached two other woman in the park a short time earlier.

Around 11:30 am, a 40-year-old woman was walking her dog when a man demanded her property. She reported the suspect told her he wanted to commit a sex act and threatened to kill her dog. He fled when she screamed.

The first incident around 10:50 am involved a  34-year-old woman who was approached by a man who told her he wanted to have sex with her, punched her and took her iPhone, Apple watch and earbuds.

Police say the suspect in all three incidents is described as a Hispanic man, 5’10 to 6′ feet tall, with a slim build.
