New York, NY (77WABC)-It was 3:15 in the morning Sunday when a 58-year-old woman walking back to her Manhattan hotel was grabbed in her buttocks from behind, kissed on her face, robbed and shoved to the sidewalk in front of 5 St. James Place.
As the woman struggled with the suspect police say he put his hands inside her purse stealing her wallet, before shoving her to the ground.
The man fled the scene on foot south on Pearl Street. The woman refused medical attention for a bruise to her arm.
Among the items inside of the victim’s purse were approximately $100 dollars, and credit cards. The investigation is ongoing by the Manhattan Special Victim’s Squad.
