A Man Hit with a Baseball Bat, Chair and Stabbed in Midtown Manhattan

New York, NY (77WABC)-Three unidentified suspects are at large after a man sitting on a chair was violently attacked in broad daylight at the corner of West 33rd St. and Broadway.

Police say the 39-year-old man was sitting on a folding chair when he was suddenly approached by three male suspects. One of the suspects hit the man several times with a baseball bat. The second suspect then struck the man with a chair. The 39-year-old was then stabbed in his back by the third suspect.

The victim suffered pain, bruising, and abrasions to his body. He was taken by Emergency Medical Services to NYC Health and Hospitals Bellevue in stable condition.

A motive in the attack is under investigation. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the three male suspects.
